Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Anjuman-E Rahmania Ahmadia Sunnia Trust ("the Trust", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit this website, make a donation, subscribe to our newsletter, or submit a contact or volunteer form.
By using this site or providing your information through it, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site or submit your information to us.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, postal address, and any message content, when you use our donation form, newsletter signup, contact form, or volunteer application.
Donation and transaction information: the amount, currency, fund designation, and date of a donation, and a payment transaction reference and status returned to us by our payment gateway, SSLCommerz. We do not collect, view or store your card number, card expiry, CVV, mobile financial services PIN, or internet banking credentials — these are entered directly on SSLCommerz's own payment page and are handled solely under its PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
Technical and usage information: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited, referring site, and timestamps, collected automatically through server logs and cookies to help us secure and improve the site.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: process and confirm donations and issue receipts; respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form; coordinate volunteering opportunities; send newsletter updates you have opted into; detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent, unauthorised or erroneous transactions; comply with legal, regulatory and tax obligations applicable to a charitable trust; and maintain the security, performance and functioning of this site.
We do not use donor or visitor information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
4. Payment Processing and Third-Party Gateway
Online donations are processed by SSLCommerz, an independent, licensed payment services provider. When you choose to pay online, you are transferred to a payment page operated or secured by SSLCommerz, and your payment credentials are collected and processed by SSLCommerz under its own privacy policy and security standards, not by the Trust.
The Trust receives back from SSLCommerz only a transaction reference, payment status, and the amount and currency of the donation, which we use to confirm and record your donation. We recommend you also review SSLCommerz's privacy policy for details of how it handles payment data.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
This site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to remember your language preference, keep the site secure, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Essential cookies required for the site and donation flow to function cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect your ability to use certain features of the site, such as language preference or completing a donation.
6. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information with: SSLCommerz and its underlying banking, card network and mobile financial services partners, solely to process a payment; service providers who host, maintain or send email on our behalf, under obligations of confidentiality and only to the extent needed to perform their service; regulators, auditors, tax authorities or law enforcement where required by applicable law, court order, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and successors in the event of any restructuring of the Trust's operations, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
We do not otherwise disclose your personal or donation information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain donation and transaction records for as long as required to meet our accounting, audit and tax obligations under applicable Bangladeshi law, and to defend against or bring any legal claim. Contact and volunteer form submissions are retained only for as long as needed to respond to and act on them, and newsletter contact details are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures — including transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls, and reliance on a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway for all card and mobile banking data — to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, or knowingly accept a donation made directly by a child without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Your Rights and Choices
You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time using the link in those emails or by contacting us directly. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information — subject to our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations for donation records — by contacting info@anjumantrust.org.
We will respond to a privacy request within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request concerning your personal information.
11. Third-Party Links
This site may link to third-party websites, including the payment gateway and social media platforms. This policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we use, or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, communicated by other means.
